I designed this lesson to support my colleagues as we adapted to the new teaching environment thrust upon us by the COVID pandemic when we abruptly transitioned from in-person teaching to Zoom classrooms. Delivered via Nearpod, this lesson guided teachers through some important questions to consider, so that we could best ensure smooth instructional flow and a safe environment for our students. I designed this lesson to provide foundational knowledge for 6th graders to meet the Next Generation Science Standards relating to energy. Because students have diverse needs and learning styles, the lesson has several accessibility features. Practice questions during the lesson allow students to gauge their own understanding, and a quiz at the end helps the teacher assess the student's progress. Learn more about the Energy Lesson.

I recorded these screencasts to facilitate communication between parents and the school. The parent portal was, at the time, fairly new, and many parents still did not have access or know how to interpret what they saw once they logged in.
